As Written By the Company Managing Director, Ms Mae Kamillion.

Never being one to miss an opportunity, I have noticed a huge gap in the Australian market - we have no Cryonics company. There are sure to be people who want to be frozen when they have died from an incurable disease, to be revived when the technology allows them to be cured. Frozen Assets is to be born!

There was the case of Roy Schiavello, Australia's first cryonics patient, who was declared clinically dead in 1990. The staff from the American company, Alcor Life Extension Foundation, then stepped in and Mr. Schiavello is now in America, at minus 130 degrees Centigrade, waiting for a time when he can be restored to full life and a cure has been found for his brain tumour.

I want you to act as my consultant. You can work as part of a team or individually. I really don't care. I just need the information and I need it fast. I'm keen to set up this business before anyone else does. I'll be organising a Public Launch for media and potential backers as soon as possible. I don't care what your opinion is on the morality of this, or whether you'd like to be frozen. I just need your professional services.

What I want in your report is sections covering the following aspects which I need to know in order to set up this business and make it a success. You may choose to take different roles within you business or co-opt others. Anything is fine, as long as the task is finished by the date you specify. I need to book the Conference Centre for the Public Launch immediately and get it advertised. I need to know about:

* the opposition

Who is out there and what are they offering? I need to match them, and have the advantage of being in the Australia / Asia area where there is a huge market and no cryonics facilities as yet. Use them to get all the information you can!

* basic scientific background

I need to sound like I know what I am talking about. You can get information from the websites of my competitors as well as any other sources. Medical people would be really useful, if you know any. Books, the internet ... anywhere which is reliable. Please check your sources and quote them. If I am asked where I got some specific fact from, I need to be able to answer confidently. Without this aspect, I am gone. No-one will invest in my company or trust their body to us, if this bit doesn't sound good.

* what I'll need in terms of equipment and buildings

This should become clearer having looked at the technology involved. I need the equipment for the actual freezing and storage as well as that required for my office staff - and the cleaners! I need to ensure the whole staff can work in this business and have what they need. There also needs to be in buildings which suit our needs. Office and laboratory. Are they in the same place? Do they have to be? Please keep my costs as low as you can. I want to make a profit, a big one. You may buy shares!

* what I'll need in terms of staff

I need to employ staff - but they are expensive. I want to make sure I have everyone I need, either full time, part time or on short term contract. Maybe some would be best paid to be on call. Make sure you consider the fact that we will be running a business as well as a technology based laboratory. I need office staff, marketing, finance, legal ... so many ... we need to be able to service every aspect of our clients' needs. So who do I need? When? And on what basis?

* survey of potential clients

Let's face it - ours is an exclusive market. I need this kind of survey information if I am to optimise my planning and advertising. Make sure a range of ages and backgrounds is included. I may wish to use a 'subscribe in advance' method of financing.

* advertising campaign

The above survey should help as a guide. I want an imaginative campaign and slogan. eg. "Free measure and quote." Where should I advertise? How? And about how much do you think that will cost? Make it look good, sound good and bring in the clients - please!

* financial requirements

There are sure to be some accountants or business studies experts who will help you here. Note: my aim is to make a profit. I am not in this game to provide a service out of a moral obligation to mankind. I want to make a very large profit and do the same for my financial backers. Maybe you'd like to get in on the ground floor?

* psychological needs (I do care!)

I am assuming the client will be frozen for 100 years for the purposes of my Public Launch. Consider the changes over the last 100 years and what could change in the next 100 years. Our clients are going to wake up to a world 100 years different. How can we help them cope? What do people need for emotional well being?

From these considerations, advise me on what strategies I should use when my client signs up, and when he or she comes back. Although I am basically interested in building a successful business, I do want to care for my clients. But I also must consider their families. Having them onside will help enormously. This whole aspect really worries me, so I need your advice. I got some ideas from Oliver Sacks work in the book and film "Awakenings". It has been dealt with in science fiction - you can get your ideas from anywhere! We do need to be able to assure our clients we are ready for this.

* legal considerations

Find a friendly lawyer, legal studies teacher or any other expert to point you in the right direction. Frankly, I doubt anyone will use our services without some kind of contract. Please draft one. I need to be warned of any legal hurdles before I hit them! Firstly, is it legal in Australia? Then what can I do to ensure both my company and my clients get a fair deal?

* ethics and concerns expressed in the community

There are many people who will not be impressed with this kind of business. I need to be aware of their concerns to be prepared for protests. I expect some of these to be based on religious grounds. Am I right or wrong in that assumption?

I have also been attacked by a conservationist who pointed out that if all and sundry had this done, and "death were no more", we would have a massive overpopulation problem. I have been asked to go before a Senate Committee to discuss some kind of legislation controlling those who should be offered such a service. Should it be just for those who can pay and that is the only prerequisite? They have been asked to make recommendations to the government. Please advise me.

You may have your own opinions on this, but you are being paid to act as my consultants. I am not interested in the ethics, other than to overcome any public opposition. I have a fortune to make here!

* any other aspects which you perceive as relevant

I think I have covered all bases, but I amy not have done so. If there are other aspects you think I have not thought about, I would be most impressed. Please don't feel limited by my list.

* business plan

Basically, what I need is a I need a clear business plan which encompasses all of the above. What am I going to do when - and specifically - what am I going to purchase when. What staff do I need on board now, and who can I employ later? A timescale for planning is essential. I need to be able to say when I will have this whole thing up and running.

Time is of the essence. Please let me know immediately when you report will be ready. I will then book the Convention Centre for the following weekend. There can be no late submission. I cannot stand up before the media and potential backers and say: 'Sorry, guys, my consultants aren't ready yet!" That would kill my buisiness.This is the real world.

I look forward to your report and my future business success.

Ms Mae Kamillion.
