The Enrichment Units for the Middle Years (EUMY) are a suite of flexible and extensive units designed to provide academic enrichment for gifted students.

The 50 units in the suite are created to aid teachers in practical extension of gifted students anywhere, at any time across the school campus or within the home school.  They are provided in simple web page format for ease of distribution within a school. Each unit comes with a Word document with solutions and guidance for teachers.

The units are designed to run parallel to the regular curriculum. Supplied with an unlimited site licence, they can be available to all staff and students in the school at all times. They can be used whenever or wherever extension is needed - to extend individuals within a mixed ability class or as the core material for the gifted education program.

Delivery Format: All online material comes as simple HTML web pages which can be easily copied onto the hard drives of computers or the school server. In this way they can be available to all staff and students at all times, if so desired. All the material is designed to be used directly from the computer screen. However, if you prefer, you can print and copy each unit. There are no interactive components and no passwords - it's the content which matters, so the technology is kept very simple. The site licence allows the unit to be copied as often as required for use within the school, indefinitely. There is no annual fee.

US visitors: Lynne Kelly presented the EUMY suite at the Gifted Learning Conference at the Nueva School, CA,  in October 2007 and has been invited to speak again in October 2009. Many students from the Palo Alto/Hillsborough/Stanford area were active participants in the Virtual School for the Gifted (VSG) and active in the development of these units. Development and testing in physical classrooms was done in a wide range of schools and withdrawal settings in Victoria, Australia. Lynne often runs workshops for teachers in Australia.

About EUMY Education: Lynne Kelly has worked in gifted education for over 30 years. She has developed extension programs at schools such as Ballarat High School, Ballarat Grammar School, Melbourne Grammar School and MLC (Melbourne), as well as the Virtual School for the Gifted (VSG) and GATEways. Thirty years of curriculum development has now been consolidated into 50 units, representing the most popular of the material used within the various education settings.

Lynne has chosen to act as a small personal provider for those who know her work. Hence all contact is direct with the author of the material, and someone who has taught it herself, as well as worked with teachers who have implemented parts or all of EUMY. She is also available for consulting with schools on implementation of gifted programs in flexible, practical formats.
